Amblyopia is a well-known, widely spoken, but little-known issue in the community. It is difficult to notice and when it is noticed, it is usually late for treatment. It is one of the easiest diseases to treat when lazy is diagnosed. Eye laxity can be defined as the inability of the eye to increase the vision of the person in any way, despite the fact that the eye is not a prominent disease involving the nerve layer and nerve pathways. The mechanism of formation is the transition of the unused nerve to an idle state. In other words, if the image does not reach the nerve layer in the front of the eye or image becomes blurred, the person becomes lazy. The conditions that cause eye laziness should be eliminated as soon as possible and the visual nerve should be stimulated. This reasons;


Anisometropia (more than one number between two eyes or high astigmatism, myopia or hyperopia in each eye separately) Other eye diseases (corneal, iris, intestinal or vitreous environment such as disruption or abnormal position of the eye related diseases. In addition, eyelids (Ptoz) also cause eye laziness by closing the visual axis. The treatment of eye laziness can be done until the age of 10. The sooner the treatment is started, the more successful the results will be. If the laziness is diagnosed at the time of the diagnosis, the intact eye is closed and the eye is blurred and the eye is given to see the eye.

How to Fix Eye Laziness

The lazy eye cannot be detected by parents. However, detailed eye examination is apparent. Eye examination does not have a certain age. The child with the complaint can be examined at any age. In cases where the child does not allow the examination, the use of sedative and sedative medicines is used. Children should have had at least one eye examination at least once until the age of 3-4 even if they have no complaints. The success rate is much higher in eye laziness.


Early diagnosis of eye laziness is very simple. It is the most common method to use the lazy eye by closing the eye at certain times. Surgery has no place in the treatment of ocular rhythm.
