Strabismus

It is the loss of parallels between the two eyes. Each eye contains 6 extraocular muscles. If one or more of them have less or less force, it will cause strabismus. One eye can look straight, and the other can slide inward, outward, upward or downward. In some cases the slip is present in both eyes. Depending on the cause of strabismus in the eyes may occur continuously or temporarily. There is no single reason for strabismus. Strabismus may occur for different reasons.

Early diagnosis is very important in the treatment of strabismus. When it is late for the first eye examination, children may have aesthetic problems in their eyes as well as lifelong visual impairment problems. Immediately after birth and in childhood children should be examined by a specialist physician even if there is no eye complaint.

Reason

Causes of Strabismus… There is no single reason for strabismus. The problematic pregnancy period, whether the birth is problematic, the development of the child, the diseases may cause strabismus. Strabismus
There is a genetic predisposition. If there is a slip in the eyes of the family, the chances of strabismus are increased in children. In a child who is prone to strabismus, gliding in the eye may begin after a feverish disease or trauma (fall, surgery, accidents).

The central brain that manages the movement of our eye muscles is the brain, so the paralysis of the nerves can cause a shift in the eye. In some cases, such as accidents, head trauma, febrile diseases, and hypertension and diabetes, elderly paralysis can occur. In such strabismus, the treatment may vary depending on whether the stroke is persistent or not. Lazy eye in children, large-age group may cause double vision treatment is absolutely necessary. & Gt;

Some of the shifts in infancy and childhood are pseudo-shifts. The pseudo glide is a deceptive view of the eyelids and the width of the nasal root. An eye examination must be performed in order to fully clarify this situation.

Continuous shifting of the same eye is a sign that seeing is less frequent in the eye and is important. For this reason, infant and children with a single eye should immediately be taken to an eye examination.
